My career as a nurse began in 2010 when I graduated from NSCC as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). I decided to go back to school, and in 2019 I graduated from the LPN to RN pathway program from St. Francis Xavier University.

For nearly twelve years I have been fortunate to work with families and newborns. Bringing a baby into the world and becoming a parent is an exciting time, but can come with challenges and stress. My practice is strongly rooted in the belief that all families need and deserve support throughout this journey. Knowing that there was more I could do and learn, I completed the requirements to become an IBCLC in 2021. Sweet Pea Lactation Consulting was started to provide parents with the support they need to feel encouraged and empowered in how they choose to feed their baby.

My promise is to build your breastfeeding confidence and support you in achieving your feeding goals.

In my personal time I can be found on my family’s homestead, in the beautiful Annapolis Valley where I was born and raised. We currently raise chickens, turkeys, pigs, and ducks, and have a wide variety of organic fruits and vegetables. Soon we will also have rabbits, lamb, and cattle! My partner and I spend time with our pets Bosley and Gertrude, and we love having boardgame nights with our family and friends.
